Overview
Seamless & Welded Buttweld Fittings to ASME B16.9
Buttweld fittings join pipes by welding the bevelled end of the fitting straight onto the pipe. The weld becomes part of the line, so the joint is as strong as the pipe itself, with a smooth bore and no leak path — the standard choice for process, oil & gas, chemical and power piping.
Vedant Steel and Tubes Industries supplies seamless and welded buttweld fittings from 1/2" to 48" in schedules 5S to XXS — long and short radius elbows, equal and reducing tees, crosses, concentric and eccentric reducers, long and short stub ends, caps and pipe bends — in stainless, duplex, alloy, carbon steel and nickel alloys, inspected before dispatch.

Types
Seamless vs. Welded Buttweld Fittings
Seamless Buttweld Fitting
Hot-formed from seamless pipe, so there is no weld seam anywhere on the body. The wall stays uniform and the fitting carries higher pressure — the usual choice for critical oil, gas, petrochemical and high-temperature lines, normally up to 24".
VS
Welded Buttweld Fitting
Formed from plate or welded pipe and joined along a seam, then normalised and radiographed. Used for larger sizes up to 48" and for low and medium pressure lines such as water, utility, HVAC and general plant piping, at a lower cost.
Elbows, tees, reducers, stub ends and caps from 1/2" to 48" in seamless and welded forms — stainless, duplex, alloy and carbon steel, inspected before dispatch.
